TAKING THE WAEWAE EXPRESS (SUNDAY FEATURE) – Sunday April 5 at 9.00 PM
A young man dies in an avoidable car accident. This film looks at the impact on friends and family, and especially his best friend, who was driving. This is the first feature of Wellington filmmakers Andrea Bosshard and Shane Loader, and uses the improvisational processes favoured by British director Mike Leigh.

Re-envisions the creatively innovative, sexually liberal and self-exploratory artistic works of the great Mexican woman artist. A documentary that explores the painter through her work, extracts from her diary and interviews.

Health information series from a Maori perspective, using powerful and personal stories. Presented by Dr Lance O’Sullivan. Tonight: We spend over one third of our lives asleep. But what happens when the sleep we need to function normally is killing us?
MATATINI I ROTO I TE MOANA (NZ DOCO) – Wednesday April 8 at 8.30 PM
An observational, fly-on-the-wall documentary that follows Tauranga Moana as it prepares to host Te Matatini 2009, the national kapa haka festival held in February at Baypark in Tauranga. From the committee members to volunteers and performers, there are some amazing challenges involved in this bi-annual event. Maori language with English subtitles.
HYUNDAI CODE (SPORTS) – Thursday April 9 at 8.30 PM
Jenny-May Coffin fronts this sports entertainment programme live from Maori Television’s Auckland studio. Check out the great guests, captivating korero and comical capers of ‘Brofessionals’ Matua Parkinson and Glen Osborne. League legend Ruben Wiki rounds out the presenting team.
HYUNDAI SUMMER OF SURFING – Thursday April 9 at 9.30 PM
A series that captures the action from the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour and Hyundai National Surf Championship. The tour begins in Mt Maunganui, goes through to the National Surf Champs in Piha, then on to Sandy Bay, Canterbury, Whangamata and Port Waikato. There are four episodes in the series. In English and te reo.
TE MATATINI HIGHLIGHTS – Saturday April 11 at 9.00 PM
Second and final programme in the special highlights package from the recent Te Matatini Festival held at Baypark in Tauranga.
