KAITIAKI O TE MAUNGARONGO - Monday, Oct 29th at 8p.m.
Māori Television’s inside look at policing from a uniquely Māori perspective . In tonight’s second season premiere, we join the Hamilton police as they clamp down on boy racers and see how Sergeant Frazer of the Taupo police manages the Taupo cycle challenge with over 11,000 participants.

WAKA REO (LANGUAGE) - Tuesday, Oct 30th at 8p.m.
Along with learning reo Māori, the remaining 10 contestants face more physical challenges as well as living in isolation.  There’s $10,000 at stake so it’s no wonder that tempers flare in the waka ama challenge.

THE MAGIC TOUCH (INTERNATIONAL DOCO) - Tuesday, Oct 30th at 8:30p.m.
The fairytale image of the Cirque du Soleil has reached audiences around the world but the public knows very little about the person who has created many of its fabulous costumes: Dominique Lemieux. This documentary offers a unique insight into the imagination of this flamboyant artist.

THE LOST WAKA (NZ DOCUMENTARY) - Wednesday, Oct 31st at 9:30p.m.
This hour long documentary follows former Māori Language Commissioner, Professor Patu Hohepa, and wife Erena as they travel to Rennell (Mu Ngiki) and Bellona (Mu Nggava) in search of the ‘lost waka’ – the link in the geneology, mythology and lapita design between Māori and the people of these islands.

BEFORE NIGHT FALLS (SUNDAY FEATURE) - Sunday, Nov 4th at 9p.m.
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2000 Venice Film Festival, Before Night Falls is a richly imagined journey into the life and writings of the brilliant Cuban author and exile Reinaldo Arenas. Before Night Falls spans the whole of Arenas' life, from his rural childhood and his early embrace of the Revolution to the persecution he would later experience as a writer and homosexual in Castro's Cuba; from his departure from Cuba in the Mariel Harbor exodus of 1980 to his exile and death in the United States.
