WAKA AMA - Sunday, Jan 27th at 3p.m.
The second of three one-hour specials featuring highlights from the National Waka Ama Club Sprint Championships to be hosted by Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa at Lake Karapiro in January. 

TATAI HONO – - Monday, Jan 28th at 8p.m.
The heartfelt show that reunites people with their whanau, hapu and iwi returns for a third series. Meet Sam Kahui from Hamilton who grew up in Whakatane and Theona Ireton from Christchurch who has found strength in her work for Ratonga Hauora Maori.

NATIVE AFFAIRS: SUMMER SERIES - Monday, Jan 28th at 8:30p.m.
Maori Television’s current affairs series – a finalist at the Qantas Television Awards – presents the highlights of 2007. Tonight: Maori radio in the Australian outback; Ngai Tahu inspires their youth through Aoraki Bound; and the death of a baby in a gang confrontation sparks debate. 

THE MARKET - Monday, Jan 28th at 9:30p.m.
Kiwi drama at its best. Two families – one Maori and one Samoan – make their living at the Otara Markets. But five years ago, their friendship was shattered when one son died in a fight and another went to prison for murder.  

MAQUILAS (INTERNATIONAL DOCO) - Tuesday, Jan 29th at 8:30p.m.
More than 3,000 ‘maquiladoras’ or factories along the 2,000 mile-long United States and Mexican border provide employment for about one million workers and import more than $51 billion in supplies into Mexico. Mexican with English language subtitles.

TAKU WAHINE PUROTU - Wednesday, Jan 30th at 8p.m.
Rauhoto:  Rauhoto was the beautiful and courageous wife of Tuwharetoa-a-Turiroa of Taupo. When her husband was being put to death, he persuaded her to swim across Lake Taupo to Wharewaka with their son on her back – to save both their lives.

DARLING OF DUBAI (NZ DOCO) - Wednesday, Jan 30th at 8:30p.m.

The tale of an expatriate New Zealand fashion designer’s meteoric rise to fame in global haute couture. Peter Loughlin (Ngati Tuwharetoa) founded the House of Arushi fashion label in Dubai – the United Arab Emirates – with his wife Mireille in 1989.

One Million Dollars: This 10-piece band is renowned for its show-stopping set which has seen them play to huge festival audiences in Vanuatu, showcase gigs in Australia and sell-out concerts at home. 

TE HAUKAINGA – - Sunday, Feb 3rd at 5p.m.
Te Teko: Locals Dick and Kena Hunia have had market gardens in Te Teko for many years. Kaumatua Wiremu (Bully) Pryor opens up about the changes he has seen over the years while Noki Te Poono talks about the importance of his faith, Ringatu, and Te Rangitaiki Rver.

KIWI MAARA - Sunday, Feb 3rd at 5:30p.m.
New Zealand’s only trilingual television show is the season-sensitive sustainable gardening guide with everything from eco-friendly ideas, a plant of the week, Maori lore, rongoa or traditional Maori herbs for medicinal and therapeutic use, and inspirational guests. 

NGA AHUREI O TE RAUMATI - Sunday, Feb 3rd at 8:30p.m.
The summer festival series returns to the Parihaka Peace Festival for a more in-depth look at its history and unique kaupapa of peace – the legacy of Tohu and Te Whiti. More than just a music festival, Parihaka features discussion, education, kai and healing to encourage social and political change.

OSAMA (SUNDAY FEATURE) - Sunday, Feb 3rd at 9p.m.
After the brutal Taliban regime bans women from working and forbids them to leave their homes without a male escort, a 12-year-old girl and her mother find themselves without any means to earn money. Inspired by a true story, this is the first entirely Afghan film shot since the rise and fall of the Taliban.
