INSIDE ISLAM (INTERNATIONAL DOCO) - Monday, Mar 17th at 10p.m.
A series that takes an in-depth look at the religion and culture of Islam. Tonight: ‘Ashura Moharram’ is one of three important religious events in Islam – a memorial event of Imam Hussein’s death who was the leader of the Shiites.

WARRANT OF FITNESS (HEALTH) - Tuesday, Mar 18th at 8p.m.
Hands-on health information from a Maori perspective. Tonight: Repeated exposure to the deadly chemical dioxin resulted in dire health issues for former mill workers. Even in retirement, Joe Harawira and former workmates from Whakatane share a common bond – their fight for survival.

CLOTH OF THE GODS (INTERNATIONAL DOCO) - Tuesday, Mar 18th at 8:30p.m.
The tale of a unique and ancient artform which resists modernisation and helps Fijians connect with their past – a sacred fabric called tapa cloth which is still widely used for ceremonial occasions including birthdays and funerals. Each pattern and piece of cloth tells a specific story. 

E TU KAHIKATEA - Wednesday, Mar 19th at 8:30p.m.
Maori leaders who led, challenged, outraged and inspired share very personal stories never before made public. Tonight: Sir Peter Tapsell reveals why he really became a surgeon, the vanity of politicians and the difference between a ewe and a ram. (Maori language with English language subtitles)

RESTORING THE MAURI OF LAKE OMAPERE (NZ DOCUMENTARY) - Wednesday, Mar 19th at 8:30p.m.
This powerful indigenous environmental film examines the issues surrounding the toxic pollution of the largest body of fresh water in Northland and the devastating effects on downstream communities. Produced by Hokianga-based Maringi Noa o te Manawa Trust.

HYUNDAI HEKE NGARU (SPORTS) - Thursday, Mar 20th at 8p.m.
The competitors, underdogs, veterans and stars of the Hyundai Longboard Tour and national surf champs – presented by Daniel Kereopa and Whakaangi Rongonui. Tonight: The world of surf judging and how they differentiate styles and technique plus how the scores work.

 

BASSLINE (NZ MUSIC) - Friday, Mar 21st at 8:30p.m.
New Zealand’s modern-day musical movement is captured in action on stage – presented by Te Awanui Reeder and Helen Crown. Tonight: Cornerstone Roots have have played alongside reggae heavyweights Burning Spear, Toots and the Maytals, Sly and Robbie and Lee Scratch Perry.

BILLY T JAMES AWARDS (SATURDAY FEATURE) - Saturday, Mar 22nd at 9p.m.
The annual search for New Zealand’s most promising new talent in comedy – named after the much-loved legendary comedian – features four nominees from the 2007 NZ International Comedy Festival. 

THE CUP (SUNDAY FEATURE) - Sunday, Mar 23rd at 9p.m.
Prayer, discipline and tradition – these are the ways of Tibetan monks. But a group of young monks has found a new ritual … soccer. Now they'll do anything to persuade the elder monks to rent a satellite television to watch two civilised nations fight over a ball! (Tibetan with English language subtitles)
